Linda's Story
Well, after 50 years, it is a little challenging to summarize my life in a few sentences. So far, it has been a great life! Here are some highlights. However, as I'm sure it is for the rest of you, this won't come close to telling the story:
Nov. 1968 - Married Patrick "George" Larkin
Dec. 1968 - George left for Viet Nam
Feb. 1970 - George returned from Viet Nam
Nov. 1970 - Birth of daughter Heather
March 1973 - Birth of son David
Aug. 1976 - Received B.A. in English from Richmond College
Sept. 1979 - Birth of daughter Diana
Jan. 1984 - Received M.S. in Library Service from Columbia University
1984 - 2014 - Career as professional librarian in public, special and academic libraries
May 1991 - George and I got divorced...still friends though
Aug. 2004 - Birth of grandson Charles
Nov. 2004 - Received Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University
2005 - 2015 - Taught part-tim...Expand for more

July 2014 - Retired from position of Director of Libraries at Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY
May 2015 - Moved back to Virginia
Sept. 2016 - Birth of granddaughter Fiona
Jan. 2017 - Birth of granddaughter Lana
Feb. 2020 - Birth of granddaughter Maeve
April 2021 - Birth of grandson John
I am enjoying my retirement and look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion! My brother, Steve Jamison (Class of 1969), will accompany me.
June 2017 - When I wrote all of the above, our reunion was still scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend 2016. My brother and I decided to return to SI that weekend anyway and had a wonderful time reminiscing. The plan was to return again for the actual reunion; however, the Oct. date won't work for me so I am very glad to have made the trip in Nov. I wish everyone a great reunion! Maybe I'll see you at the 60th.
