Linda's Story
Was married 18 years and from that union came my 4 daughters and 1 son, ages 35, 34, 31.5, 29.5 and 28. I thank God for each and everyone of them. People may think, wow 5 children?!?! But let me tell you--my children are one of my main reasons for living. I call them my 5 motivators. My 4 daughters are entrepreneurs and my only son is 4 semesters shy of finishing his undergrad degree in premed, however, believe he has decided he will go in another direction with his premed (doesn't want to be a doctor). I learned there are apparently 150 careers in the medical field, some of which are supposed to pay as much as being a doctor. More research to be done on this...because now I'm curious.
As for me, I'm doing well (I couldn't always say that) because life has it's twists, and turns mountains, pitfalls, and valleys, but I'm an overcomer, and more than a conqueror in Christ, so therefore have endured much, but a blessing and/or a lesson usually came out of it, that enabled me to share God with folks in a much more passionate manner (if anyone can relate to this please say Amen). I lived in various parts of California for a total of 9 years and returned to my foundation in Cleveland year 1993. I miss...Expand for more
ed the 4 seasons at the time, and only missed winter when Thanksgiving or Christmas came around...
At this juncture in my life, I started a business (motivated by my bachelor's degree in business information technology/management information systems, and my 5 motivators my children), which is a concentration in business management and computer and web based applications.
I'm not rich, and if I were to become rich, I'm going to ask God what should I do first. I have a passion for the poor that do not want to remain poor. This isn't to say only the poor that are financially misfortunate, but poor in self-esteem, poor in spirit, poor in education, just poor in various areas of their lives, and need to hear that voice of encouragement and positivity. We are all rich in one way or another, since God has entrusted each, and everyone of us with special gifts or talents, to use for His glory, and to share with others... Find your purpose, and reason for living, and then we can give mightily, in a way that only we can give.
By the way, It is amazing how I just about remember something about each, and every one of you and I attribute this to your uniqueness, spoken words, and unspoken words. (Smile)
