Linda's Story

Life I recently moved to Houston, TX from Santa Fe, NM in June 2007. I am the Director of Asset Managenent with a commercial real estate investor who is quite successful and has property ownership in ten states and is on a strong growth pattern. I am paid extremely well, very successful in my field, and I enjoy what I do, enjoy my life and all that is has to offer. I divorced in May 2005 after being together for 17 years; married for 12. My ex and I are still great friends; it was just the right thing to do. We didn't have children (part of the divorce reason as I love children and animals). I brought one of my cats with me to Houston, Callie. She is just like a small dog; follows me everywhere, plays fetch and has been the greatest pet. Not knowing a sole in Houston makes that...Expand for more
very important! I was the Commander of the Tacoma Power and Sail Squadron prior to leaving Seattle and really miss the boating (had a 40' Carver Aft Cabin) when I got to Santa Fe, NM. Now I am back around water and am looking to get involved with the Houston Squadron and back on the water - although the water here is absolutely horrible; it is shallow - most areas in the gulf are about 12' deep and it is brown. As you head farther down the coast it gets nicer but the Houston, Galvaston, Corpus Christi areas are awful. In July 2012, I have been promoted to Vice President of Asset Management. In addition, we changed our company name to TriStone Realty Management (been battling The Principal Group for four years). I can't wait to see everyone at the 35th Class Reunion in August!
