Linda's Story
Life
I live in Seattle again and work as a technical writer and instructional designer. I was teaching as an adjunct instructor at the University of WA for two years and loved it. Unfortunately, I had a second car accident and it got to be too much for me. I was in my first car accident in 2016 and my second in 2021. The first one caused my early retirement and my second accident just caused additional pain. I'm working on my third mystery novel. I always wanted to write and teach when I was growing up and I have managed to make a living doing those two things.
Personal
I'm divorced, have no children, and have one cat, Leo, who is a domestic bobcat and is almost 19 years old.
Update: Leo died in 2009 and I got another pixie bob mail called Buddy.
Workplace
I'm a technical writer and instructional designer. I develop online material from online help, classes, and web content developer. I also teach part time at local junior colleges on occassion. I love what I do and have been doing it for the last 20+ years.

Relaxing
I like to swim, and read. I like to walk a lot but I am limited due to my 2 car accidents but I do try to do as much as I can. I also like to sail but my idea of sailing is to kick back with a glass of wine while others actually steer the boat. San Diego offers lots of opportunities to be on the water and the weather is wonderful. I loved a lot about living there but I just couldn't afford it any longer.
My School Hero
Mr. Delahoy was the computer teacher in the ROP program through Irvington High School. He let me enter a business computing class a year earlier than I should have and I was smitten with computers and learning to program. After school, I got a job where they wanted me to learn to program. Mr. Delahoy would let me come up once a week and he'd work with me until I could get into a junior college programming class. Those computing classes and his later support helped me turn my life around and gave me some solid work skills that helped me have a very profitable career in the computer industry.
