Hello Friends from a time long ago! I have just recently joined this site and I think I am going to have fun re-establishing old ties.
I live in Baltimore Maryland, but most of my family is still there in Denver and Aurora. My daughter Monica is (27) is a supervisor for the State of Colorado child service divison and married to a Denver Police Officer. I have an 8 year granddaughter... a little hard to accept and admit, but wow, it's pretty amazing to feel that kind of love!
I love living in the east coast, which I just made the permanent move two years ago.
I am a self-employed Business Development Consultant.. I was never good at conforming to a rigid schedule (like school), so the most obvious for me is to work on my own. Hasn't been easy all the time, but very rewarding in the long run.
Even though I did not participate in the actual graduation ceremony at Aurora Central, I did graduate. Recently, I finally finished my Bachelors Degree in Business Management and I will be starting a Masters degree program in the fall. (it's never too late.. it's just really hard!!) . I am trying to determine which program I want to attend, and also, whether I want to stay in Baltimore. Most of my work is in Washington D.C., but I'm thinking about moving to New York. Baltimore is really exciting though. Believe me, there is so much more out here than what is portrayed in the show "The Wire". Maryland is really beautiful, and with...Expand for more
in 2-3 hours of the surrounding states. I travel to Atlantic City every couple of months for concerts and gambling, I go to the ocean 8 - 10 times in the summer, I love taking the train to New York City, Pennsylvania is an awesome place to visit historically, and the Virginia's are really big!
When I come home to Aurora, I always visit the old stomping grounds, and I cannot believe how small everything seems! Old Aurora, where we all grew up, seems like a little town with its quaint neighborhoods. But it also nice to remember how simple the times were.. maybe thats just from being young, maybe it's because the small town that was 'our Aurora' was a great place to grow up. Me personally, I cannot believe 7 of us lived in a one-bathroom house! LOL!
Contact me if you remember me, and I'll send a message as I search through the site and find you.
Chao! Blessings! Take Care! Good Wishes!

Well, I am 5 months into my first Masters degree program and am extremely challenged! Every week that I have a major paper or assignment to complete I think I wont be able to last another week.. but, I get through it and am marching onward! When I say my first Master's, I think I am going to have to be a lifetime student because I do not ever want to have to pay back the loans! LOL! Once I have my PhD, then I will be able to write big fat checks.. lol, but in the meantime, I'll just keep learning. Hope everyone is doing well in their lives! Be happy!
