Linda's Story
I was that music nerd that spent every day until 5pm playing the trumpet. As a matter of fact, I was so brainwashed that when I graduated, that's all I wanted to do! I went right to work in offices (most boring occupation ever) and all I ever talked about was how I was going to play the trumpet. A little immature, right? Well, I did continue to take lessons and played for a few years. Then my focus switched to getting out of my parents house. Did it!!! Lived in Florida for a few years, then joined the Army at the suggestion of my brother-in-law. I will be eternally grateful to him. After seven years in the Army, I got out and finished my career at DEA. So, wonder of wonders, I retired!!! Me!! Don't have to work anymore!!!
I never got married, then again never wanted to, nor did I want any children, since I was the oldest in a family of five. Enough already...Expand for more

After many years living in Center City, the whole area went condo nuts and my building offered my little efficiency to me for the price of $137,000. Hahahahahah!!! So, I high tailed it up to Fox Chase, where I've been living in a great apartment for the past six years. It's just me and my cat, Tiger. I like this just fine.
Musicwise, I switched to singing and found it much harder than playing an instrument. I sang for Singing City, Choral Arts, a few choirs and right now for the Archdiocesan Choir. In September I hope to start in the Cathedral Choir. I absolutely love the Cathedral and all those magnificent liturgies. The Pope's visit was amazing. I watch the videos on YouTube frequently.
So, that brings me up to date. Thank the Lord I'm in reasonably good health. He has blessed me with many good things in my life.
Hope to see all of you at the reunion!
