Linda's Story
Life
I have been married to David Webber for 20 years. We have not been able to have children but we have numerous nieces and nephews that keep us busy.
I was a teacher for 4 years which I dearly loved but alas there was not a lot of money in teaching.I worked my way through college in retail sales and so that is what I went back to. I worked for Seasonal Concepts as an assistant manager for 12 years. I left there and worked for Garden Ridge for 3 years as a merchandising manager.
Retail is a job that requires long hours and working all the holidays when you are a manager. I really felt God leading me a new direction. That direction was back into teaching. I just started my third year at Claremore Christian School (2005/2006). I teach a combined fifth/sixth grade class as my base class and team teach with another teacher, (sh...Expand for more
e just happens to be my sister-in-law), the other Mrs. Webber teaches English to 3rd through 6th grade and I teach the Science. It works out really well. I'm the Mrs. Webber that will look at the worms, bugs, crickets and all kinds of interesting things the kids find, the other Mrs Webber is the one that screams if they try to show her such things. I have two terrariums in my classroom, one with long-tailed lizards that we have successfully raised babies. The second terrarium has native Oklahoma frogs and lizards. I have a Quaker parrot that I bring to school a couple times a week. He has a large vocabulary and the kids all love him.
It is such a joy to help children see the joy of all God's creation and to share with them Jesus and his love. God has blessed me so much and I continue to grow in my knowledge and love for Him.
