Linda Kolstad:  

HI TO ALL, After graduation, I attended BC while I worked as a Long Distance Telephone Operator, at the Welfare Department, and at the post office. In 1967 I married Chuck Kolstad (class of 65 at South High). We then went on to graduate from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. He received his MBA and I received a BS in Social Science (plan was to teach). One week after graduation I had our second child and we moved to Silicon Valley for Chuck to start his first job out of college. Teaching never happened, and I was an active stay-at-home Mom while the kids were growing up. I then entered San Jose State and completed a BS in Nursing. On the heals of that I entered graduate school and received my PHD in Clinical Psychology when I was over 50. Better late than never! I work at Kaiser Permanente and I specialize in the treatment of addictions in adults but also work with all other sorts of problems. I'm thinking of retiring in 2017 but that's not definite.
