Linda's Story

Life While I once wanted to become a "famous actress". I realized that wasn't going to happen. While in college, I took an Anthropology class, loved the Human ID and human remains portion of it immensely, decided to major in it, and met my husband there at UK. We married, had two daughters, he became a doctor, and for the past nearly 18 years, we have lived in Havre, MT, where we have a modest ranch (by Montana standards!)of 200 acres, where we raise Arabian horses (currently have over 20!). Both our daughters are married, and we have 3 grandchildren, all in AZ. School Since my father was in the army, I lived in Cary, NC and Bremerhaven, Germany while I was in High School. I have fond memories of both places, and would like to reconnect with the many friends I had both places. There's no guarantees in life, and sometimes we let too much time slip by before we catch up with old friends. I don't intend to let that be the case with me. I live in MT and would like to have high school friends email me or come visit! College When I started College at Kansas University, I planned to Major in Drama, but after my first course in Anthropology, I was hooked. After Freshman year, I transferred to Transylvania College for Fall Qu...Expand for more
arter in Lexington,KY, my hometown, while my father was doing a tour of duty in Vietnam. Then in January 1965 I started at UK, where I finished up my BA degree in Anthro in 1967. Contrary to some of my friends, I loved school and all the neat classes I was able to take. Plus the partying was fun, too! I'd love to get in touch with some of my old college friends, but hardly any of them are listed with Classmates, so contacts are quite limited. Would love to hear from girls from 1st floor East GSP Dorm in Lawrence, KS from 1963-64, if you know any of them! Lived at home or with grandparents in KY, so didn't have as many contacts there, but had some very close friends. Workplace My first BIG job post college was as a Social Worker doing intakes at an Eval. Ctr. for Dept of Mental Retardation in KY. I loved the job, but quit when husband went in Air Force. After moving with military a few times, we ended up back in KY for his Medical School, so I worked as Sales Rep. for Coppercraft Guild. Did same also in NE, where we moved for his internship/residency. Now in MT I have been working since '85 raising and showing Arabian horses and in husband's radiology business since '88 as Corp. Officer/Bookkeeper. The horses are more fun!
