Linda's Story
Life
Remember graduation? The following Monday I went to work for AT&T...and ...who'd a thunk?...it became a "carreer."
My title was "Communications Technician" and I did network troubleshooting and resolution coordination for International Frame Relay and ATM services (I know all you chip-heads are impressed!)
In the 70's went to GSU night school and earned an AB in journalism (you should read my trouble documetations!) and 1 year's work toward MA
in sociology, which I abandonned in favor of a social life and slow-pitch softball, which I played for 10 years.
Was married 1980-1997. We just grew apart, had a friendly divorce as evidenced by the fact that I was invited to his remarriage summer '01.
I didn't change to my married name until 4 years after we married, so I figured I had 4 years to change it back. However, now that my "grace period" is over, I've decided it's just too much trouble, and my ex and his new wife don't mind.

ctor for LZ, Inc., a choreographed aerobics program taught at a number of churches and recreation centers in DeKalb County. I also attend a lot
of step aerobics classes at Athletic Club Northeast.
Have spent the past couple years dealing with my Dad in a nursing home in Ft.Laud for 4 months after a stroke, settling his estate, and then caring for my sister for several months after a serious car accident.
This year became involved in real estate investment with a partner. We have formed an LLC and started out with a couple of houses for rental property, but have now discoverd that it's a lot easier (and more lucrative!) to invest with a couple of local developers we have met and let them do all the work.
Retired from AT&T (after 34-1/2 years) in Nov. 2004. Will be starting to work soon as executive assistant to the real estate developer with whom I've been investing the past couple of years. In the meantime, will be working with his wife and a web designer starting up an internet business.
Regards to all,
Linda
