Linda Mikkalsen:  

After graduation I went to Seattle Pacific College with an Education major. I continued to run with the Falcons and was able to travel with the team to other states and Canada. I married the man of my dreams and we had our first daughter. Then we moved to Arkansas where we had our second daughter and all thoughts of running for fun went away. We were transferred to several locations around the country so we spent time adjusting in and moving out. As the years passed and the girls grew I went to nursing school and became an LPN. Once we arrived in Kentucky I became an EMT and began to study Hazardous Materials response in relation to the health department. A move to New Hampshire and I became a fire fighter and HazMat Specialist. Now I know someone out there is saying I was back in the guy stuff. I have been fortunate to work with many fine organizations and gentlemen who have encouraged me to take my interests into the workplace. Becoming a Corporate Safety Manager gave me the chance to pull all the training together, including the nursing.
