Linda's Story
After a long 13 month Vietnam tour, Tony and I are married. That was September 1973. We met in October 1971.
I only had 4 real friends in High School and I hope my pictures celebrate our friendship then.
I was born into a hard German/European family. My mother was educated and my father was a blue collar mechanic/ parts man. Us girls did everything we could to please my mother. We pushed education
So, we went to school with blinders and competed hard for grades. My girlfriends were my only relief from the grind of study...Expand for more
ing and pleasing my parents.
When I got married and he left the service, I had no ambition. All I cared about were my beautiful two daughters and him. We followed his career and went and lived in 4 different States.
It wasn't till I was 38 did I realize I had to use what I excelled in in high school. I got a degree at CSUSB and he retired so we wouldn't have to move again and I started my career. I have worked for the Sate of California for 16 years now. Ten more years and we get to live out our remaining years together 24/7.
