Linda's Story
Funny, I graduated as a Junior in 1974. My graduating class and classmates are from 1975. I couldn't wait to get out of school and away from home. I had a few friends, but never felt that I fit in anywhere. Now looking back... if I knew what I know now... maybe it could have been different....
There is a reason there is a smile on my face... I am 51 years old and I have survived and now I am fulfulling all my dreams yet to fill and living each day to it's fullest.... Life is too short not to....
Once upon a time.... I had two children... they passed over when they were 3 and 4 years old. They died on the same day, BUT three years apart. They were victims of the birth defects of the Vietnam War..
My brothers, who some of you may remember. Richard and Douglas Pendleton. Are long gone... They died of drugs and alcohol......through suicide.
The best part of life's lessons is that I learned to love unconditionally. I have learned to be there for family and friends as they have been there for me. I have held many a hand as they pass over... and I have learned compassion and forgiveness...
I am a woman with a multitude of interests and...Expand for more
careers. I am an Ordain Minister. I am a REIKI Master/ Teacher. I am a Massage Therapist. I am an Assistant Sales Coordinator for a plastic tubing manufacturing. I am a receptionist at a Nursing Home. I am a Senior Tax Advisor for H & R Block, who I have worked 10 years for.
I am currently taking line dance lessons and figure skating lessons. And this past spring got my motorcycle license and motorcycle..
I learned that even though freedom isn't free... that I am a free spirit and I have learned the following:
1. Life is too short
2. It is never to late to have dreams come true.
3. To always put a smile on your face. It makes people wonder what you are up to.
4. Practical jokes, laughter, and humor can get you through anything.
5. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
6. Keep an open heart and love unconditionally
7. Never be afraid to lend a helping hand or to let someone know you care.
8. Love knows no distance... no time.. no space
9. Family and friends are the greatest asset that anyone can have in their corner.
10. Follow your heart... whereever it leads you.... Because in the end.. it will lead you home.....
