Linda's Story

I was Linda Pifer, class of 1972. I married Gordon Martin Jr. We were married nearly 28 years. He passed away and so I was a widow. I have a grown daughter and a grand daughter who is in high school, time flies. I recently was reunited with my high school sweetheart after 41 years apart. Ronald and I almost married back then, but didn't. We found each other again on Facebook! He was a widower, I was a widow. We met for dinner in June 2014 to talk over old times, and, well, we have been together ever since. We just got married December 6, 2014 so I am a new bride. I work full time for Jefferson County Public Schools as a Resource Teacher. I graduated U of L with a Bachelor's degree and a Masters degree in Education. I graduated from Bellarmine with my Rank 1 in Education. I have been with JCPS since 1980. So basically, that is my story. My interests include photography, videography, Travel...Expand for more
ling ( and Disney World) and cruising, because I love Disney so much in 2007 I bought into the DVC which is the Disney Vacation Club I added on in 2008 and again in 2010. It has been well worth the cost, I have been able to travel a lot more using the points in exchange! I also enjoy cooking, dancing, and singing karaoke (which I am actually good at, who knew!) and computer technology. Yes, I have found I am a computer geek! I especially enjoy turning photos, videos and music into movies for family and friends. I chronicled my family's timeline in a series of movies and gave them copies for Christmas one year. It was a labor of love that resulted in 10 dvd's that were almost 2 hours each in length. I am soooo glad I did it as a mere two years later I lost my mom and two years after that I lost my dad, so it was special to have been able to give them memories to enjoy in their final years!
