New Retired Life 1/2014 Where has time gone. Never thought I would be approaching 67 in a month. I guess you just do not think of those things in your youth. Believe me, I am thinking now. Mom passed at 92 in 2011. Is that a good way to judge my demise??? Do not think I will reach 92. I have many more health issues compared to her. It basically is my joint/cartilage structure. Dad had both his knees replaced by the time he was 70. I had my right shoulder completely replaced last April, 2013. It is working great. Problem is the other shoulder will need to be done, as-well-as both my knees. Good old arthritis. It has chosen to attack me fiercely. The sad part is that so many of the things I do with my grand babies is active. I took the 2 younger Carey kids zip lining last summer. We all enjoyed a Hallow Weekend Saturday in September and looked forward to many other outdoor activities. We have been horse back riding, snow tubing and indoor water parking. I did manage a 30 minute session of laser tag 2 weeks ago. Did not climb the stairs too much. I have been living single for 11 years now and it is great. Had Mom for five years and it had many ups and downs. I am very glad I was able to keep her. It was great for my grandchildren to get to know her.
