Linda's Story
Life
I've been married to the same great
man for 41 yrs. and we have 3 children that we are very proud of.
We also have 4 grandchildren. Life has been up and down over the
years but through it all we have remained steadfast in our love and faith. UPDATE: Sept. 2009-Sold our house. We are going on the road in our motorhome. Spent last winter in Arizona with Bill and Susie (Jackson) Montgomery. We had a great time. We
are going back this winter. Going to have another grandchild. This will make #5. We love them all and miss them when we travel. UPDATE: Still living in house on wheels. Branson Missouri in the summer and Apache Junction Arizona in the winter. Not ready to stop yet. Grandkids are growing up fast. The newest one is 18mos old now. On our way to Arizona in October, can't wait. UPDATE: Staying in Arizona most of the time for this year. Have a 5th Wheel. Miss everyone in Kansas and am going back in May for a visit. Don't know where else we will go. Don't want to stay in AZ for July and August. Miss the family and friends anyway. Still not settled anywhere yet. Not quite ready.
Update: Nov-2016 Living in AZ full time now. Just had our 50th Anniversary (wow) . Have 6 grandchildren now. Miss them soooo much. God has been good to me!
Update...Expand for more
: June 2020 Bought a house in Merrill Ranch in Florence Arizona. No more Rv's. Do miss being able to take my own bed with me. Roy has been diagnosed stage4 esophageal cancer but is doing very well. Had radiation and is doing chemo. Tumor is almost gone. Has a little in his liver but it is shrinking too. Our daughter Jennifer also has stage 4 colon cancer but is also doing very well right now. Our family has been through a lot in the last 6 months. Miss family and friends. Have to have a KC fix a couple times a year. Kids visit us too.
Update: On January 9, 2021 we lost our precious daughter to cancer.. She fought so hard. On March 8, 2021 I lost my love of 54 years to cancer. They both fought so hard to beat the horrible disease but their fight is over. I am more than broken inside. My heart has been torn from me. I am left here for a reason I guess. I am trying to understand. Need to be back in Kansas with my family. Update: March 2022-Moved back to Kansas. Close to friends and family. Not ever going to get used to the weather again though. The winter about did me in. Hate cold. I am trying so hard to deal with my life but it seems like after a year I still feel like it was yesterday. I keep asking God to give me a purpose. Hopefully soon....
