Linda's Story
Life
Hi
I am now retired and living on the Olympic Pennsula in Washington state. The town is Port Townsend and it is a Victorian seaport town. We wanted to move here for 25 years and just love it. We have water, mountains, and forests and wonderful art. David and I have been married for 48 years and love being together now that we are retired.
We spend our time in the garden, scrapbooking and traveling. Being retired is wonderful and we love exploring the area we now live in. We just returned from a trip to Eastern Europe where we traved by car with friends to 5 different countried. We were gone 5 weeks. Also got to see old friends where we used to live in Neuenstadt am Kocher, Germany.
We have 3 grown children, three grandchildren, and one great grandson. Our children are adopted and from different ethnic backgrounds. We lived 5 years in Germany, 5 years on Vashon Island, WA, 20...Expand for more
+ years in the Bakersfield, CA area. I worked for Taft College in Taft, CA and my husband David worked for the last 20 years as a counselor. Before that he was a Lutheran Pastor.
I would like to hear from some of you. It would be fun to know what you are doing.
In the spring 2009 we toured Turkey. This spring we visited Greece and Germany. We love the history and culture of the countries that we visit.. We have always found that people are warm and friendly and willing to help.
2013
Still taking it easy. Our spring garden in in and coming along just fine. We await the flowers and vegies with hope and excitement. Love to garden. We will head off to Maui to meet our older daughter Angela and Mark for a week of rest and learning history and culture. Once there you always want to go back.
If any of you ever get in the area of the country, look us up. We love company.
