Linda's Story
As I read my story I realized that I haven't updated it in 4 years. The last time I updated my kids were 20 and 23 years old. My how time flies, now they are 24 and 27 years old. I had one grand baby at the time and now I have two. I have two granddaughters and they are both beautiful little girls. Life has had its ups and downs but i wouldn't change it for the world. I've lost a job since then due to downsizing. I've worked cleaning toilets because I couldn't find a job in my field. But now I'm back to working in my field again and working from home. I absolutely love it. I don't know what I would do if I had to go back to an office.
Since the last time I've been on here I've been ordained a traveling Deacon in the Christian Methodist Episcopal church. Never in a million years did I ever think ...Expand for more
that I would be an ordained minister. But here I am and here I will be until the Lord says i can take a seat. I'm currently working full-time and just entered seminary. So once again I'm back in school. I must be losing my mind returning to school at 51 years old but if it helps me to be better at what I'm called to do I guess i need that extra.
My daughter was living in Charlotte the last time I posted but has since returned to Syracuse. In 2009 she lost her job and had to move back home. She has since returned to school and works for the state. My son lost his job in 2010 and has struggled to find work. He is currently in a training program that we hope will open doors for him. Keep him in your prayers please.
