Life
Went to work for the Feds (Navy) right out of high school. Put in 30 years and took early retirement from Dept of the Interior at 47. Ran for local elected office in Calvert County and won. Been at that for the last 13 years. Couldn't have done it without a husband who always has my back.
Worked to open a shelter for abused women and children in the County, which has been in operation now for 15 years. Recently completed a WWII memorial project at Solomons, which recognizes the service of the Greatest Generation.

ommissioner representative to the Tri-County Animal Shelter. Feral cat sanctuary, equestrian area, dog parks....my favorite projects.
Married to a very patient guy who should be nominated for sainthood just for sticking around LOL.....
Two children, four grandchildren, and a recent addition of one great-grandson. Somebody get me a walker and drool bib...sigh. When did they get that big, and when did I get that old? Maybe I wasn't paying attention? The kids are the delight of my life and keep me young and very busy.
In addition to the human family, our animal family at home includes six potbellied pigs, ten chickens, one rooster, a turkey named Soldier, nine cats, and a turtle named Myrtle.
