Linda's Story
Hi Everyone,
I have lived in northern California for 13 yrs. now. Never, ever did I think I would have left Weiser. I'm 50 miles inland from the Pacific ocean in a very small town called Salyer which has a post office and grocery store. It is 5 miles into Willow Creek, which is a little bit bigger but not much. I do live in the Redwoods,which are spectacular! I have raised a step-son, Eldon. He is 18 yrs. old and a senior this year. He's Native American of the Yurok tribe. longer be working at the school. Life is pretty quiet here, it is just very expensive to live in California. You are taxed on everything even some things no one is quite sure what the tax is for. I especially miss Idaho in the winter time. I miss the snow since I use to snowmobile into my cabin in Warren, ID. I am planning a trip home some time this summer or fall. Believe it or not I receive the local Weiser newspaper. There seems to be a lot of new people in Weiser. I do enjoy reading the paper though and catching stories of people I know, like our class reunion picture! It's been great talking to you.
