Linda's Story
Life
After I graduated from Maury, I worked for a local General Contractor in Norfolk. I decided to go to modeling school, then modeled for 3 years around Norfolk and New York City. While in this phase of my life, I was also a Norfolk Neptune Cheerleader for 2 years. It was a great experience and helped me come out of my shell. I then married and had 2 children, Adina & Jason. I've lived in Wilmington & Winston-Salem, NC and then Columbia, SC. I worked at the University of South Carolina for 10 years with a great professor as a mentor for meeting planning. I was divorced and later met my 2nd husband who was getting his Masters in Electrical Engineering. I've been a meeting planner for 29 years. I love my job and love the fact that I get to travel and meet new people. My husband owns his own company and travels quite a bit (way more than I do). I currently ha...Expand for more
ve 2 grand children from my daughter with hopefully more to come from my son. I love to dance, my husband plays guitar and has a recording studio. We have a BMW 645cic and love to do road trips with other 645 owners. We love to go out to places that have live music with open mic nights. Places have great local talent and most don't know that they are around. We also enjoy beaches, lakes, & 4 wheeling (which I just tired it in May of 05 while visiting Anchorage, AK for a possible site for a conference.)
School
I'll have to think about this section. I was in the band and played the bassoon. This gave me a real appreciation for classical music. I loved Dr. Berg as a band director. All of us who were under his direction, will never forget him. God Bless Him. I'll have to pull out my old anuual to refresh my memory on teachers and events from 40 years ago.
