After high school I got a job in Marina del Rey where I met my husband, got into sailing & racing sailboats, meanwhile my husband-to-be was building a Westsail 32 sailboat, eventually we sailed away and spent a year cruising Baja, mainland Mexico, the Marquesas and Tahiti (& isles) before ending up in Hawaii. We built a house on the Big Island where we got married and had our son, Kellen. (He is now married w a little boy and is a lifeguard w Martin Cnty Ocean Rescue in so Fl.) Then we moved to Oahu and had our daughter, Allegra.(entering photo modeling, cosmetology ) Personally, through my evolution of personal artistic expression, I became involved w Hawaii Quilt Guild, learning much and basically happily nestling into the Art Quilt genre. 'Tropical Folk Art Quilts' is how I describe my stuff. small, (wall size) Hand painted, hand quilted/appliqued/beaded and otherwise embellished. In 2000 we decided to move to Florida.
