Linda's Story

I clean, clean, clean when I need to blow off steam. To relax is to be in bed with the remote in hand! I don't remember being wild. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have morning coffee, and a shower to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I lived in Temple til 1963, then moved to Irving to go where my husbands (Johnny) work was. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Doris Newby, because we were really good friends. I did recently see her for a brief time but would like to spend some quality time with her.I would love to see Betty again, who lives in Virginia. I do plan to see all again soon. Update october 2011. I did get to see Betty . Doris and I took a road trip to Virginia for a wonderful visit with Betty in August 2011. I have a 10 month old 53 pound puppy who still thinks he's 4 months old. I'v never had a pet so active and busy! I still have 4 cats after losing my 17 year old cat, Maggie, in July. Update on that 53 pound (puppy) he is a whopping 63 ponds and still as active as ever. I think my biggest surprise was when I woke up one morning and realized I was a senior citizen! If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen to...Expand for more
be larger and add on a huge deck. My dream home would be by the lake in the country. Whatcha talking about? I'm still trying to teach them. If I won $100 million, I'd give $1 million of it to each of my kids(they can distribute theirs among their kids) then spend the rest on me , myself and I---after I bought that home in the country. My current age is 66. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely right and wrong. I share my home with pets, which I find hard to deal with at times. At one time in the 60's and 70's my husband, myself and the kids had many trophies due to our outdoor archery life. Our house burned in 1974 along with the trophies. I won 2nd place in the State tournament in women's barebow class in Buffalo Gap, Texas in 1972. In 10 years, I hope to be a few pounds lighter. I'm going to get there by this time next year.------I hope. My first job was at a warehouse, where I got paid 1.90 hour to pull orders. What I remember most about it is It got me out of the house after not working till I was in my 30's. I remember catching lightening bugs at night. I really regret pulling off their little lights and using them for rings.
