Linda's Story
My life is happy and content. I have wonderful parents, two terrific married children, four grandchildren & one great grandchild. I love my life!!
My Kids
My daughter is 40 yrs old. She's married and has three beautiful children. They all live in a 5 bedroom house in Minnesota. My son is 37 yrs old. He is a Electrical Engineer. He's married to a wonderful third grade teacher. They live in Orange County, California and have one beautiful child. I just love being Mom/Grandma!!
I have attended 9 different schools in both Michigan and California.
Traveling
I've gone on three cruises. The best one so far was a 10 day Holland America cruise to three ports in Mexico. Stayed in a suite with a veranda. Enjoyed varities of food, floor shows, movies, dancing, shopping & people everywhere having the time of their lives.
I'm looking forward to more traveling in the future. In the meantime, I''ll run around the block, smell the roses and just enjoy mother earth. It's good to be alive and enjoying life.
I'll never forget having fun in rural Grandville,MI..running through the fields with my dog, watching tadpoles in the creek & climbing up a 20 ft tree to play in a treehouse. My leashed dog would pull me around the block while I was riding on my sled in the snow.
My first job was at Golden Haven Convalescent Hospital, where I got paid $$+work experience for class in 11th & 12th gr to set-up trays, wash dishes & train as 2nd cook.. What I remember most about it is Kathy Gerdes/Hardy & I both worked there. We were best friends at Jordan High School..
Linda Castillo was my best friend at DeMille Jr High. We were in gym class & GAA. We played Center & Guard in Basketball, ran track, softball, etc. She & her parents invited me to stay at their Big Bear cabin in the snow. I had Spanish class & she helped me learn & achieve a B+
If I could get one-do-over...I ...Expand for more
would have been kinder to Richard McGee & continued dating him. He was wonderful!!
My first crush was Jerry Richter at Grandville Jr High in Michigan. My parents moved to Calif & he married his high school sweetheart.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 15% of it to church/charity, then spend the rest on my family, friends and myself.
Yeah.........share the wealth!!!
I would love to see my 7th gr English teacher Mrs. Chaffee. She was very kind & thoughtful. Her Grandson was Roger Chaffee (flight to the Moon).
The wildest thing I & about 300 other students did was sit on the floor & block the doorway of the principals office. Grandville High-Michigan-1968 We called it a "sit-in".
I blow off steam by agreeing to disagree, going for a walk, tell a joke & create a fun atmosphere, walk on the beach, go swimming.

I always wanted to be a mother of 5 children & married when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were surprised that I only had 2 children & had to divorce my cheating husband(after 4x 's cheating...it was time to close the book & go on).
When I was a child my father would make an ice skating rink in our yard (40x20). All winter long he'd add snow & water. My brother & I would race so fast that we'd crash into the snowbank at each end in order to stop. My Dad also had a Fiat car. He drilled a hole into trunk & added a huge key. The key would turn while the car was running. It looked like a life-size car toy. My Dad also built & welded a gas powered slot car to ride on.... my brother & I drove it up & down the street. My Dad was the Chief Electrical Inspector in Grand Rapids, MI. He taught my brother & I how to wind copper wire around septic tank motors when we were 7 & 8 yrs old. We were paid $5.00 for each motor completed. He owned a shop called Fixall Electric.
