Workplace
After graduating from College I ventured to Florida and was a manager for Toys R Us. When Curtis graduated from RIT we traveled to California in 1985 and have been here ever since then. Once arriving in California, I became an Underwriting for a Mortgage company. This position was held until the children started arriving----Lindsay and then 10 months later twin boys/Kyle and Eric. I opened a daycare in my home and ran that business for 9 years before going back to college to obtain my teaching credential.

ht 3,4,5, and 6th grade. Every one of the grades are enjoyable and I do not have a favorite.
As an overachiever---even in my 40's-----I also have held other positions in our district. Currently I am the Service-Learning Coordinator for 28 elementary schools, a mentor teacher, and a coach for Character Education. I just finished my Administrative Credential and not quite sure where this will lead me.
In addition to working for the school district, I also work for the County Department of Education as a Staff Developer/Curriculum writing. I am in charge of managing a Character Education grant that was received by the Department of Education. Needless to say, Life is busy but also definitely enjoyable.
Our 3 children are college students:
Lindsay-Junior-San Francisco State-Public Relations
Kyle-Sophomore-San Diego State-International Business
Eric-San Jose State-Graphic Design
Curtis and I are still together after all of these years and doing well.
Life has changed a little in my professional area----I now also work for Alameda County Office of Education as a staff developer. My job is to teach teachers.......I am also considered a "Professional Expert"-Consultant in the area of Service-Learning
