Linda's Story
I know that some of the people who remember me would most likely be surprised at the things that I do. Last year I took a motorcycle class, got my license, bought a motorcycle, and have put over 4000 miles on it. In addition, I kayak, ride horses, and camp.
I love to travel. My goal is to travel to every state in the United States and to see more of Europe. From 1991 to 1993 I lived in Romania and I was able to travel to Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Paris, and London. Some of the places that I enjoyed the most were the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Palace of Versailles, the inventor's museum (I just love technology of any kind), and a place in Austria called Bludenz.
There is so much to see and I want to do it all. I believe in planning for tomorrow but living for today. This really hit home in 1990 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and almost died (not from the cancer but from the che...Expand for more
motherapy). It made me realize just how short life can be.
Currently I live in Castalian Springs, TN. When I moved I had to sell my motorcycle nine and hope to be able to buy another one in the coming. I love camping in the mountains and horse back riding.
As for what I do to make a living. I am self-employed. I take computers apart and put them back together, install both computer hardware and software, and do computer training. In addition, work with a CPA doing audits, keeping the books for several different businesses, and do monthly reconciliations for several other businesses.
Two to three times a year I visit my son, his wife, and my grandson. Being self-employed gives me the freedom to visit whenever I want.
Through the years I have finally figured out what is important in life and my friends and family mean the world to me. Life has a way of changing your perspective on a great deal of things.
