Linda's Story

Hi Everyone: I am have been retired for 13 years now. Graduated from College after being retired to see if I could accomplish it and, yes, I did. I became a CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant). I love to work with the elderly and especially private home Health Care. I am an Avid Quilt Maker and Teacher. I am living in Apex part-time currently and also live at Lake Gaston on the VA line. s. I have the most wonderful son and he means the world to me. Unfortunately, I don't have grandchildren as of yet, still praying for that, but I do have wonderful Granddogs (that act like real people, they even ride the jet skis. I am very active and stay busy constantly. Also, currently divorced but doing extremely well. Life happens when you least expect it. I still see some of my classmates and have kept in touch with them. .

This is my finished quilt for Memorial day and 4th of July
This is an older quilt that I started years ago up at Lake Gaston with the piecemakers guild and finally finished and also quilted with the Baptist Fan Pantograph. Called Stringed Stars. Made just a wall hanging.

Since I was on a roll trying to get things done; I made 10 pillowcases today for the children in the hospitals dealing with cancer. I hope this will brighten their days. This is for the charity RYAN CASE for Smilies!! W
