Linda's Story
Life
Life is complicated. After I graduated I took a month off to work on my tan. Then I got a job. Secretarial position at an Engineering Firm. I married my husband of 21 years Tom, raised his son who is now 25 years old. Got pregnant Robert age 19 now. Started working for my parents (Brannock's Bus Service, Inc.) as office secretary and generally I did whatever they didn't want to. Sometimes I felt like I ran the place but I never really did. Had one miscarraige. Had another boy Michael he is currently 13 years of age going on 45. This one will never move out. My Dad was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma 3 years ago and is in remission. He was lucky. I nearly died in 1996 with a Pulmonary Embolism. They told me I had 5 years to live. I'm still here. I have numerous blood clots in my legs and have a Greenfield Filter in my Vena Cava. Last year I had a serious car accident got to go to shock trauma (definitely not fun). Lost an ovary to a very nasty cyst. Bled nearl...Expand for more
y to death when a vein ruptured from the clots that had weakened it, 7 transfussions and 2 plasma bags later, I currently live, literally, day to day. I take more medicine than you can imagine. When Dad got cancer he decided to sell the school buses and the motorcoaches so I was unemployed, laid off permanently after 17 years and 6 months of loyal service. For the past 2 years I have been a housewife. I am trying to write a book but that sounds like I am trying to be more than just a housewife. I have thought of starting a small business, going to college but I am currently in mid life crisis and cannot be held accountable for my actions. (Laughing audibly here)Hubby is a peach. He is Vice President of Providence Hospital in Washington DC. I don't have to work but at this point I feel like there is so much life outside the home that I am missing. Wish I could write more but this is getting to long. To all of you just peeking in and checking up Good Luck, God Bless and be well.
