Even though I have not lived in Ohio for nearly 40 years, I still try to get back once or twice a year to visit my mom. I lost my little sister, Mary, in December of 2008 and that is still hard for all of us. Since graduation, I have gone to college; served in the Air Force; gotten married; and had two kids. I finished a doctorate in higher education in 2002. I am still married (over 30 years to my one and only husband, Lee), and one son has graduated and is in petty officer in the Coast Guard, currently serving in Texas. He is married and the proud papa of my granddaughter, Emily. My youngest graduated from high school and works at Verizon. I have been in higher education in some form or fashion for over 25 years as a teacher, administrator, and regulator. I left my position as a research analyst for the US Naval Academy for a promotion at the US Military Academy in New York where I now live. I am also on the faculty at West Point teaching government.
