Linda "Alicia"'s Story
Hi everybody! St. Paul High seems like a lifetime ago and we have all come a long way through our own personal journeys. Mine has been a huge and for the most part, a very happy one. I hope all of you are happy as well. I have been a Flight Attendant for American Airlines for over 32 years. It was the "career" of my dreams and I was fortunate enough to have been able to attain it. I have had the honor and priveldge of working with some of the most incredible people I have ever met. Unfortunately, September 11, 2001 took the lives of many of my co-working family members and the Aviation Industry has been corrupted by the greed of the commercial airline's CEOs and their counterparts. I sadly have been forced into "early retirement" by American Airline's Corporate Management due to the fact that I cannot and will not allow myself to be intimidated into flying safety compromised aircrafts/flights carrying my passengers and co-working flight crewmembers in them. I am taking a STAND not only for myself but for all of them as well! As well as fighting the fight of my life at the moment, I am blessed to be married to my best friend and have two beautiful sons. Brandon Lutz 27, Isaiah Rolow 13 and we are all raising my beautiful grandaughter McKaylah Rae Lutz 5 (going on 25). I alway...Expand for more
s wanted to be a Flight Attendant when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy and unattainable idea. As it turns out, they were wrong! I only have have a handful of people whom I would go as far as calling "my heroes". The one person whom I consider to be my biggest "hero" as well as inspiration in my life is an American Airline's Flight Attendant by the name of Madeleine "Amy" Sweeney who was tragically on American Airline's Flight 11 on the devastating morning of September 11, 2001. The one person from my St. Paul High School days that I would most like to see again is Nancy Dominelli because we shared some fun times and she made me laugh out loud! I hope to be remembered by all of you as a "loyal" and "stand up" friend, and I pray life has been kind to all of you and has brought to your lives as many blessings as it has brought to mine. Hopefully I will hear from many of you soon. Until then, I will leave you with my favorite famous quote from the great Ralph Waldo Emerson who very wisely and eloquently once wrote: "TO LEAVE THE WORLD A BIT BETTER, WHETHER BY A HEALTHY CHILD, A GARDEN PATCH, OR A REDEEMED SOCIAL CONDITION. TO KNOW THAT EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED.....THIS IS TO HAVE SUCCEEDED!!! Take care and God Bless!
