Linda's Story
I'm retired now over 2 yrs. after working 27 yrs. with the Chicago Public Library. I actually started my job at the Brighton Park Library. While working the circulation desk I met some kids I recognized from St. Joe's. My husband retired last year from the Chicago Police Dept. with over 25 yrs. of service. We will be married 27 yrs. this coming Sept. We actually did get married at St. Joe's. We met at the Huck Finn Restaurant at Archer & Kedzie. bought a nice townhouse which is surrounded by lots of forest preserves. I love to walk the paths or ride them with my bike. We both enjoy going to the casinos. I don't go that much anymore, since we bought the new house.
I am really surprised we still haven't had a reunion. I did attend my Kelly one. It would be nice to see some of the people from our class. Talk about old times and Brighton Park, the way it use to be. I did attend the picnic two yrs. ago with my older brother, but no one came from our class. There were quite a few from the class of 1967. I was glad I went.
