Linda's Story
Life
I spent the first 11 years after High School just trying to get through college and working, living the singles' life. I did finish college, Weber State, Weber State, great great great.... And then I met John.
John and I have been married since 1997. We met on a blind date in 1995. He is from Syracuse, NY and I grew up in Syracuse, UT. It was just meant to be. :)
We had our first child, Johnny, 9 months and 5 days after our wedding.
Julianne, our second, was born 16 months later in 1999. They both changed our lives drastically, in a good way of course.
We now live in Layton in a great neighborhood close to Valley View Golf Course. But we haven't golfed since we had kids; nor have we skied, or gone on any exotic vacations, or read a book (not counting Dr. Suess).
Johnny and Julianne keep us busy with kindergarten, preschool, ballet...Expand for more
/tap, t-ball, etc.
We have a great group of friends that we socialize with and that allows us to be adults for a awhile. Life is good.
College
I was on the 10 year plan at Weber State. I recieved an Associate degree in 1989 in Fashion Merchandising and then I recieved the B.S in Computer Information Systems in 1995.
Workplace
I have been working for America First Credit Union since 1987, some might say I am a 'Lifer'. But, the credit union is a great place to work.
I am a programmer/analyst and write program code for our electronic services systems (i.e. home banking, phone banking, etc).
I was able to go part-time after having my first child in 1998 and then go even more part-time (20 hours/week) after our second was born in 1999. I work mainly from home via a dedicated phone line and go into the office average of once a week.
