Linda's Story

Here it is 2018 and almost time for our class reunion. I would love to catch up with how life has been to you and how you have come through all your trials, tribulations, and victories In 2015 I was in a vehicle accident with three of my grandchildren. The three of them were okay after being thrown out of the motorhome when the walls came off as we rolled. I was trapped and thought I was going to burn alive, but a man appeared out of nowhere and tried to pull me out but unable to do so. My left arm was trapped between the road and the drivers side door with the weight of vehicle on it. Then a second man came and together they pulled me out. I was taken by life flight to the University of Utah's Burn Center where I underwent skin graphs on my arm and back. It was quit an ordeal but I am fine now other than a few memory problems. No one knows why my grandson quit eating a few weeks after the accident but I think the reality finally hit him. He took care of the girls immediately and tried to get me to answer him that I was okay. I couldn't seem to get him to hear me. All is better now and he is his picky eater little self. The girls were spending the summer with Nana and Papa and were to go back home to Colorado right after our planned weekend. Seven months later they were in a car accident with their mother and a road rage idiot. Almost three years later they still have aches and pains connected to that accident. All children and grandchildren are living in Idaho again and close by, We Are Blessed! Life 200? I posted a bio last week and when I went to submit it, the site went offline. I guess I'll try again. I can't imagine anyone being interested but what the heck... I'll do it anyway. My husband , Randy, and I live in Kimberly, Id. It is just four miles east of Twin Falls. y nesters as our daughter and grandaughter moved out two days after Christmas. Our two children, Lorin (boy) and Lanessa (girl) are married with one child each. Lorin's son, Dylan, is four months old and is such a good baby. His Dad and Mom, all Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends love playing with him when we get the chance. Lanessa's daughter, Lydia, is 20 moths old and is one of those beautiful children that you see in the stores that says "Hi" to everyone she sees and expects everyone to talk to her. She talks a mile a minuet but "Nana" Linda is the only one that understands anything she says. After we get used to being empty nesters I'm sure we will enjoy it, but right now we are so lonesome for Lydia, as she was with us most of the time since she was born. I am a stay at home person most of the time now. With everyone gone I keep thinking that I should get a job again, but my husband likes to be on the go and wants me with him. It never works out that we have the same scheduled days off or vacations at the same time so isn't that reason enough to do my volunteer work and continue with my crafts? I'm never lacking for something to do, I can't imagine ever finishing all that I would like to do. Well I've gone on long enough. I hope to hear from some of you. Update: daughter moved back in six months after leaving had another kid, husband lives elsewhere, and I am again fulltime grandma. She says she will move out when she finishes school; I don't believe her. Love my grandkids wish I could have them when I wanted them and not 24-7. Update #2: It's been three years and daughter Lanessa is still living with us with two children Lydia and Isatou. She will finish her nursing program in a few days. It has been hard on her and me but she has studied very hard to be a Regestered Nurse.
