Linda's Story
Life
My Spouse
Jim and I were neighbors our whole life and he was one class ahead of me in school. Jim and I went together my senior year. He then left for the service and Viet Nam. I lived at home with my parents and had our first child, Peggy while he was gone. Thank the Lord, he returned home unharmed and we moved to Fort Hood, Texas for the remainder of his military duty. We then moved back to Homeworth and have been there since. Jim likes to golf and bowl. In 2000, he attended the Cleveland Indians Fantasy Camp, where he excelled and had a great time.
My Kids
Peggy is 38, married to Loren Shaver, has 2 children, Lauren is 16 and Adam 13, she has taught Special Ed and Behavior problems for the last 14 years and is recently received her masters degree. Loren is a helicopter pilot in the Army Reserves and teaches 5th grade in Minerva. He also has received his masters.
Mike is 35 and was married to Rita Rinehart. They divorced in 2005. They have one child, Mikayla 4 yea...Expand for more
rs old. Mike works at Wayne Homes in Green.He is currently going to night school to obtain is college degree. We are very blessed with our children, their spouse and our grandchildren. And we are really fortunate to remain in a close relationship with them all. Jim has worked at Metal-Dyne for 38 years as a production scheduler. Hopefully, he can make it another 2 or 3 years. I have held several different positions over the years. Currently, I keep my granddaughter plus 9 other children during the day. the other 9 I only have 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours after school. It's very rewarding to be there for all these kids. My last job was as Activity Director at STerling House in Alliance. I absolutely loved that job and was very good at it. However, I'm not good at the politics that was involved and I quit rather than compromise my integrity.
Jim and I have traveled more than we ever imagined. WE both enjoy it very much. We will be married 40 years in March 2006.
