Linda's Story
Linda is from Louisville, Kentucky. She is married with Roy Nachand. Her schools include Waggener High School. She later attended Spencerian College (Medical Assisting and Office Management). She works(ed) at Dental Assistant ~ retired.
More about Linda:"Married Roy Nachand in Louisville, Ky on 6/8/68". Moved to Dayton, Ohio, where Roy worked as an aerospace engineer with (not in) the Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB. Blessed with two boys, Christopher and Adam. After 17 years moved to Colorado Springs, CO where Roy continued his work with Rockwell, then Boeing. Linda continued her work in the children's dental field, this time as a volunteer with the Health Department. Spent most of her time doing what wives and mothers do (a full-time job in itself). They have 5 beautiful grandchildren, 3 who live fairly close in Castle Rock, CO near Denver, and 2 live all the way in Minneapolis, MN. Their sons and daughters-in-law are hard-working, sweet, beautiful spirits, and life at the foot of the beautiful Pikes Peak is amazing (even after the wildfires wiped out over 300 homes within a mile of them last Summer and even more homes and acreage this past Summer of '13 in the Bla...Expand for more
ck Forest, also very close by;. It all will grow back in time, and the homes are slowly being rebuilt.
Roy is retired, and they enjoy visiting all around the South and Southwest, along with a peek at S. Carolina and GA last Winter in their RV along with their 2 dogs, a Schnauzer named Murphy, and a little Yorkie named Millie, a gift from Linda's hair stylist and friend. Life is easy, simple, and they love being together and meeting people from all over the US. They have their next trip planned for the Fall of '13, where they plan to head to see the Grand Canyon and Santa Fe with the family in Castle Rock, and hope to head toward the West Coast next year and perhaps on to the Northwest. There is just so much to see and do in this beautiful country. Why go somewhere else when there is more to see and do in the USA than time could ever allow! It has been a great time these past 50 years, and we are looking forward to Linda's 50 year reunion in Sept. 2016. Hope to rekindle friendships from those years while in school and perhaps make some new ones at the reunion. Linda's husband also graduated from Waggener in 1963, so he "knows" several people from the '66 class, too!
