Linda's Story
Life
When I left Chaffey, I went to Oral Roberts University for a year. Then I came back to Ontario and went to work for General Telephone. I worked there until I married my husband Dennis. We bought a home in Ontario and then in Rancho Cucamonga. We have two children. They are grown now and have given us 6 grandchildren. I also worked 13 years for the US Postal Office in San Bernardino. Dennis has retired from the Phone company after 30 plus years and we are enjoying life to it's fullest. We travel and enjoy the internet. We bought a home in Arizona and remodeled the kitchen, put in a garage, and added a garden.
Updating our story here in 2020
Well our Arizona chapter has ended after 12 years there and now we have moved to Shepherdsville Kentucky and love it. So different from Southern California and Arizona's desert climates. Everything here is GREEN and we have real seasons. Five to be exact Fall, Winter, Spring, ALLERGY, and Summer. I am totally allergic to Kentucky's Spring bloom . live in. We have bought Three acres, with a pond and barn. We have about 20 large trees (50 to 70 feet high) and most of the acreage is in grass, so we spend a lot of time on our John Deere cutting. We have seen deer, fox, turkeys, geese, squirrel, snapping turtle, box turtle, stray dogs, wood peckers, snakes, and other various birds visit us here on our little place.
Last year I bought baby chicks, so now we have fresh eggs everyday. I also have a fairly large garden and started composting.
Our daughter and one of our granddaughters live here in Kentucky and are in the health care industry. She has another daughter in Florida that is a school teacher and another newly wed daughter in Utah.
Our son still lives in Southern California. He lives in Wrightwood and works at Mountain High Supervising the snow board school there. He has a son in Washington State and two grandchildren there. He has a daughter in Oregon.
We are currently are with a travel, health, and skin care networking company called Seacret.
