Linda's Story
My maiden name is Taber. I've moved to North Carolina where worked as a school development coach for the NewTech Network in Napa, CA. until June 2010 when I "retired." I worked with new small project-based learning high schools in North Carolina and Louisiana that have 1:1 student:computer ratio. I retired in June 2010. I'm currently working part time for the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation at North Carolina State Univ--working with districts implementing 1:1 laptop programs. I also sometimes teach online courses for teachers through Foothill College (Los Altos, CA) Krause Center for Innovation and for My eCoach.
After high school I went to college in Marietta, Ohio. I, then got a M.Ed. in Special Education at the University of Cincinnati. I lived in Ohio/West Virginia until 1973, then moved to California....Expand for more
Dulal, my husband and I have been married since 1973. We have two sons, Noah and Isaac. Both are married. Noah works for the Better Business Bureau and is real estate broker in Spokane, WA, and has three sons. Isaac and his wife now live in Pittsburg where after a year as a visiting professor at Notre Dame in South Bend, he's doing a post doc He is an archaeologist. He does digs in Jordan, Spain and Kazakhstan.
I taught for many years, then became a district technology learning coordinator, then established a technology-project based learning program for teachers at Foothill College in Los Altos, CA. While at Foothill College, I got a M.A. from San Jose State University in Instructional Technology. I also taught part time for SJ State and for Connected University.
My husband and I love to travel and to garden.
