Life Hi, I guess you're here to know what's happened since those days at STHS. Well here goes. I worked in the oil field for a few years and then decided to try my hand at commercial shrimping. I worked as deckhand for about a year then bought my own boat, the Eva Marie. I kept it almost 30 years and sold it in October of 2007. It was a good way to make a living up until the last 8 or 10 years. Between the government regulations, foreign shrimp flooding our markets and ever increasing fuel costs it wasn't too much "fun" anymore. In November I went to school and received my Captain 100 Ton Masters license so I plan on starting a new vocation but still on the water. I’ll be burning someone else’s high priced fuel though. I’ve enjoyed carpentry as a second line of work in the winter months for the last 15 years. From new home construction, to remodeling and finished cabinetwork, it’s fulfilling to see a completed “something” from almost nothing. My favorite indoor hobby has to be computers.
