Lisa's Story
Life
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1983 with a degree in Interior Design. I married Mike Mayer (an Aggie, oh well!) in July of 1983. We have 2 sons - Collin (1987) and Zach (1991) and live in Northwest Houston. We have 2 dachshunds - named Molly Mulligan and Sandy Trapp (Do you get the golf theme? Everyone plays but me but I'm a great spectator & cart driver!). I've been a stay-at-home Mom since Zach was born but I don't really stay home! I head up the volunteer program at my son's high school, publish a weekly email school newsletter for parents and am active in our neighborhood church. I am still a registered Interior Designer and worked in Corpus Christie and Houston until I "retired" when Zach was born. My father passed away in 1987 and my mom in 2001. School
High school was some of the best days of my life. I loved all of my friends and choir - it was lots of fun. Most everybody knows who my crushes were - I had plenty! I guess Ms. Schott inspired me most as she had a lot of confidence in my talent. I still sing in church choir, sing solos and in a small adult ensemble and wouldn't miss it for the world. I would love to be back in high school in some ways and not in others. I had so much fun, I don't know any one moment I remember the most. I remember "senior skip day" which I did as a junior as well as a senior - that was fun! The musicals were always fun though lots of hard work. I loved being inseparable from Gail and though we occasionally see each other now, I wish we lived closer together.
