Lisa's Story
Life
I had a daughter, Sarah Katherine, on 4/11/03! She has red hair just like me. The "Now" picture is she and I taken 10/28/06 - on our way to a Halloween party. I also have two furry babies (dogs), Raven (born 7/4/01) and Max (born 5/31/00), and several fish. I graduated from UVA in 1991 and married David Holt, a fellow 1991 UVA grad who graduated from Glenvar High School in Salem, VA in 1987. I'm now in Springfield after having lived in Alexandria (in Virginia Hills); we were previously in the Dallas area two and a half years from 7/91 to 1/94 (so Dave could go to graduate school) & then in Charlottesville (Dave in grad school again) four years from 3/94 to 2/98, with a month (2/94) in Salem, VA. Dave works for the government and gets to do a lot of travel, some very interesting! In addition to working full time for a government contractor (USIS), I also find some time to play indoor soccer once a week. My sister, Donna, works for Sephora (one of my favorites places to visit even before she started working there!) and has a 12 year old daughter. Dave plays in a band called Rose Between Thorns - you might catch me watching them! My brother, Steve, lives in Arlington with his wife, Beth, and two children, Emily (4) and Owen (2).

School
Huh, high school? Don't remember that far back :) . High school was a lifetime ago. So much I would do differently, like be more outgoing and confident and not afraid to stick up for myself. I'm definitely not as shy as I was back in high school, but I think that comes with getting older - you don't care as much what others think (well, maybe what the in-laws think!). Sixth period Journalism was especially fun!
College
I spent four years at UVA and loved it!! I met my husband, David Holt, there our first year. My first year roommate, Michelle, who is from Colonial Heights, VA, and I got along great. Dave and I spent another four years (3/94 to 2/98) living in Charlottesville while he worked on his Ph.D. I loved living in Charlottesville - small city with lots to do, like Fridays After Five (beer, bands and people watching).
Workplace
I am an SBA Team Leader/Case Review Officer for USIS in Falls Church, VA, those blue buildings right there at the intersection of the Beltway and Route 7, can't miss 'em! I review background investigations for the government. I have been working for USIS since 2/99 and enjoy it. Previously, I worked for Venable, a law firm, as a legal assistant from 3/98 to 12/98. The job was interesting but very stressful. While in Charlottesville, I worked for Feil, Pettit & Williams, a law firm, from 11/94 to 1/98.
