Lisa's Story
Life
High School seems like an eternity ago! I got married the year after we graduated, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. My husband finished his Master's degree and Ph.D while we were there. In 2000, we had our first son and then quickly moved to New Orleans. In 2002, my second son was born. In 2005, we had a bit of a life altering experience, you might have heard about it, hurricane Katrina. can say that I hope I learned them the first time, because I don't want to have to go around that tree again! We happily returned to New Orleans about a year ago, and are adjusting to life here. My children are both in school this year, and I am enjoying the freedom that a part time job and no children affords me. My children are the light of my life, and I enjoy doing all the things that boy moms do, like catching frogs and lizards and tossing the football. My husband is a blessing, and after almost 15 years of marriage, he is still the cat's meow!
