Lisa's Story
Life
I teach Speech at the University of Texas at Tyler. My daughter and son both graduated from Texas A&M. So did my son-in-law, my husband's kids and their spouses. So even though I never had the opportunity to attend A&M as I had hoped, I am covered up with Aggies! I taught theatre and speech for 12 years in Athens, TX, and then returned to school to get my Maste...Expand for more
r's. I teach part-time, am very involved at our church, and feel very blessed.
My dad (remember our principal, Mr. Beard?) is now living in Nacogdoches. He's 75, and he and my mom are both doing well.
My daughter, Lani, and her husband teach at Mabank High School and lived in Athens. My son, Tyler, lives in Washington, D.C., and is pursuing a career there.
