Esther Benson's Story
Life
I left Chicago in 1974 and moved to Prescott, AZ with my husband Ben Stoken, a north sider who I met at Northern Illinois University. I taught school for 7 years then had my daughter who is now 34. I was a stay at home mom for 5 years, then got my real estate license. I have been a full time real estate broker for 30 years and I am retiring at the end of this year. Ben and I just celebrated our 43 year anniversary which hardly seems possible!
My mom passed away in 2011 at age 87. She had lived here in Prescott for almost 20 years and it was a joy to live in the same town with her. My sis...Expand for more
ter Mimi also lives in Prescott and it is wonderful having her here. I am not in contact with my brother Lee but last I knew he was living in California.
We have a 4 year old grandson who is an awesome kid. We have so much fun with him and try to get to Portland, OR as often as possible. We should have more time after I retire although I must say that I have cut back working quite a bit.
I love to hike and read and hang out with friends. Ben and I have been traveling more and having great fun together. I am so glad to married to my best friend.
Health is good, attitude is good and no complaints.
