Lisa's Story

Life Haven't really done too much with myself. After graduation, I went to Cap for a year doing my Retail Marketing certificate. Because I *had* to go to college, didn't know what I wanted to do, wanted to be close to my friends, and decided that this was the place, and that sounded like the most fun/easygoing/useful program to be in. And it was. Got out. Needed to get OUT out. 10 days notice had me moving to Jasper, Alberta for a housekeeping job that didn't work out, but hey, I loved it there, and it wasn't here, so I got me a good ol' fast food job and lived in a 4 bedroom house with up to 10+ other people at a time, and had an excellent 6 months full of fun, adventure, ...uhhh stuff, more stuff, learning who not to trust, and who to get to know to get what you want. Definately an action-packed adventure that was. Everyone I knew there eventually went home or moved onto the next place in their own adventures, and I decided it was time to come home. Made the mistake of moving back in with my parents instead of finding an apartment and job before I came home. "Just one month of vacation!" turned into a year sitting on my ass doing what I could with zero income and no begging priviledges. Never again, I tell you. It just gets worse with time, y'kno...Expand for more
w? Got a job again, worked for a year, quit, got my Bartending certificate, intended on finding a bartending job "after Christmas", but plans changed and I prepared to head back to Jasper. Such plans were cut short when there was a random decision that going back to school was the new answer... so I'm back at Cap for another run. Going to get my Ass Degree, then move on to a "real school" for the rest of my BA. Still have absolutely no clue where my life is going. Pretty much sitting where I was on the day of my high school exit interview, where I "wowed" my interviewing teacher with an essay on why I shouldn't have to know what I want to do with my life yet, but with more experience under my belt, and a better understanding of the world and its people, I might just figure it out. School I remember this place. It was like, whoa man, and I was like, DUUUUUUDE.... ...Or something. Definately or something. I remember there being a bunch of strange people there. And there were these strange people that stood at the front and yelled real loud. I think those were the leaders. I don't know where they were leading to, though. Workplace I can't believe I've worked at 3 Subways. For 6 months each. And I'd do it all again, too, dammit... had I the time.
