Well, I decided after high school I really wanted to go into social work, I still wanted to help people, and I thought this was how I wanted to do it. I went to OCC for a year then got accepted into Niagara University. The summer before I was to start my first semester there I met my true love - who is now my husband and my best friend. I lasted one semester at Niagara U and then got accepted and transferred to Syracuse University. It is very hard to stay focused when in love so once I realized my parents expected me to actually graduate before I got married - yes at this point I was engaged, I decided that it was back to the original plan - OCC - I got a degree in humanities - whatever that was, it looked good on a diploma. In May of 1992 Mark and I got married and started our lives together. We lived in Tipp Hill for 8 years, but after our first child - Tyler was born in 1997 we realized we needed to get out of the city. We moved to Liverpool in 2001, and have lived here since, we love it here - my husbands alma mater school too! After a 4 year struggle...Expand for more
