How do you sum up what has been going on in your life since high school in just a few paragraphs...especially when is has been 30 years!!!!!
I have made some wonderful friends over the years, one of whom I married. Scott and I have two GREAT kids, a son who will be a sophomore at Murray State this fall and a daughter who is graduating High School herself next week!!!!!
I have lost touch with everybody that I went to school with, until recently thanks to classmates.com. It is nice....
I lost one of my best friends in 2005, My Mom. She fought a long battle with cancer and she was positive and still laughing until the end. I miss her every day. If any of you ever met her, you know that she never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. Then, this past February I lost another 'best' friend, my mother in law. She loved me as if I were her own and I was always treated with respect...never as a...Expand for more
n 'in-law'. She had been sick for a long time and one of her battles was with the wicked beast, cancer. I am happy that neither of them are suffering on this earth any longer, but that doesn't keep me from wishing they were still here for me to hug and talk too.
My profession for many years has been a 'bookkeeper', although I always said I would NEVER do that!!!! I am good at it and I enjoy it. I had the perfect job for me until September 2006 when my Dad (83 at the time) had a horrible auto accident that has left him a bilateral amputee below the knee. He is doing wonderful NOW, but after his accident I decided to quit working (outside the home) and take care of him. Now that he is better I have more time for things like classmates.com (and holding down the couch while watching daytime TV).
OK enough for now. I would LOVE to hear from you, my former school mates and hear what you have been up to yourself!!!
