Workplace
Started working at DowBrands in Mauldin two weeks after graduation. Left in 1989 to find a better paying job. Worked at Belk's while searching. Went to work for Amoco Polymers after 6 months. Stayed for 7 years. Quit to get married and move to lower Anderson County. Really to spend some quality time with my three step children. Went to work for Michelin five and a half years ago. rking for the Sandy Springs plant in Anderson. Work in production. Extremely dirty job. Have to take showers before you leave. Get to use hands on with tools. Brains on paperwork and computers. Strength in moving rubber. We at Michelin/SandySprings are the only rubber manufacturer for all Michelin facilities. Love my job. Can't imagine doing anything else.
