Lisa's Story

Well, as those of you who remember me know, I married Steve (the Army guy) before I even graduated. We stayed in Anchorage until November of that year and then moved to Missouri for a few months then on to Texas. (Fort Hood). It was there my first son, Matt, was born in 1979. Steve and I hung in there another two years and then divorced. From Texas, I moved to Virginia to be close to my parents and went to business school for awhile. After I graduated, I got a job as a Purchasing Agent at First American Bank of Virginia. Long story short, I ended up married again and in Oklahoma, divorced again and laid off from a job and landed in Orlando, Florida where (again) I moved to be close to my folks. When I was 37 I met the man I thought would be my one and only for the rest of my life and we had two sons ...Expand for more
together... Mikey when I was 38 and Elijah when I was a month away from my 41st birthday. Whew! Six years ago I landed a job with a pool leak detection company... I do their books, answer the phones and book and schedule jobs, all from my own home. I LOVE being able to work in sweats and no shoes and sitting around without make-up if I feel llike it! My one and only and I split up shortly before Elijah was born and he now lives in PA with his new wife of two years. For now - because of my ill health - my two youngest live with them. I live in a Condo on Daytona Beach.. I can step onto my balcony and look 50 feet to the beach/ocean and enjoy the sunrise every morning. I open my balcony door every day to listen to the surf and enjoy the ocean breezes... it's a calming thing for me. I guess that's it!
