Lisa's Story
Life
After graduation, I attended UTA. I got married in '81, divorced in '97. Everyone tried to tell me I was getting married too young, but I didn't listen! At least I got 2 great kids out of it. My daughter, Alissa, was born on 1/82 and my son, Brandon, was born on 4/86. They both graduated from DeSoto H.S. Alissa was a cheerleader and Brandon played football (so far removed from their "band nerd" mom). I taught preschool parttime for 11 years, allowing me to stay at home with the kids for most of the time ...Expand for more
when they were little. I was homeroom mom, active in the PTA, Girl Scout leader, cheerleader sponser, soccer coach, etc....the whole nine yards. After my divorce, I went to work at Tx. Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as a medical asst. and LOVE every minute of it! On 3/07, I married Eddie, my soulmate. And now I have 2 stepdaughters, Deidre and Autumn. Together, we have 5 grandchildren...4 boys and 1 girl...Thomas,11/04; Luke, 8/05; Michael,11/06; Zoey, 3/08 and Clayton, 6/08. It just keeps getting better!
