Lisa's Story
Greetings from beautiful, sunny Southern California !
I feel like a native Californian even though I was born in Laredo. After graduation, I got married, and moved to California in 1969. I live in Palmdale, Ca ; which happens to be the aerospace capital of the world. Palmdale is considered high desert, and is about 60 miles north of Los Angeles. It is a beautiful place to live. It feels like city and country as well. I have a daughter who is married. No grand kids yet, unless a furry four legged Jack Russell Terrier counts as one . I was employed in the banking industry for about 20 years, working up to a management position very quickly. injury forced me into very early retirement at 55. My husband also retired soon after, and we have traveled often. We have been to Hawaii, Cancun, Mexico City, London, Paris, France, Washington, DC, Arizona, Nevada, Virginia, and New York. We visited President Kennedy's grave site in Virginia and the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, as well as other memorials. We went to the Eiffel
Tower while we were in Paris. We saw Queen Elizabeth exiting
Buckingham Palace when we were in London. All these were wonderful vacations! It's incredible that our 50th reunion is just around the corner. My husband and I have been very blessed in every way possible. So that's it in a nutshell. In case you were wondering, I changed my name from Elisa to Lisa.
